Personal Statement

I specialize in the care of children who are critically ill and have a particular interest in those with congenital heart disease. I have completed advanced training in caring for children with cardiac disease and those who require heart surgery. I am dedicated to my patients and strive to help families with the challenges of having their child in an intensive care unit.

Biographical Info

Dr. Kelly Haque is an assistant professor of clinical pediatrics in the Division of Pediatric Critical Care Medicine at 富二代成版人app and an assistant attending pediatrician at NewYork-Presbyterian Komansky Children’s Hospital.   She is the Director of Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care and her area of expertise is pediatric critical care medicine with special interest in post-surgical management of children following cardiac procedures.

Dr. Haque received her medical degree (M.D.) from 富二代成版人app Medical College and completed Pediatric residency training at Emory University School of Medicine. She completed a fellowship in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine at NewYork-Presbyterian/富二代成版人app Medical Center followed by a fellowship in Pediatric Cardiac Critical Care Medicine at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.  She is board certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Critical Care Medicine. 

During medical school, she completed advanced training in clinical and translational research. Dr. Haque's research in fellowship included the use of antiseizure medication in children with traumatic brain injury and improving communication with families in the Pediatric ICU. Her ongoing research interests include the study of neurodevelopmental outcomes for children after cardiac surgery as well as transfusion practices surrounding cardiac surgery.  She is the clinical site champion for PC4 (Pediatric Cardiac Critical Care Consortium).
