What Our Patients Are Saying
Our baby girl was born on August 2023, and soon after, was diagnosticated with Biliary Atresia with Splenic Malformation Syndrome (BASM), which was adjacent to Hererotaxy Syndrome. The liver team at Weill-Cornell New York Presbyterian recommended a Kasai procedure to be performed before the end of first month of life, in the hands of Dr. Dimitri Merianos. Right after the confirmation of the date for surgery, Dr. Merianos reached out to us and with an outstanding empatic approach, without loosing objectivity, explained to us in great detail the characteristics of the procedure and the possible outcomes. Prior and after surgery (which included the Kasai Procedure, LADD Procedure, Gallbladder and Apendix removal) Dr. Merianos was always available for consultations and in several occasions even made first contact to let us know how everything was developing. Our baby Adri is now two months old and we’re extremely grateful for the professionalism and kindness of Dr. Merianos.
I’ve had appoints with Dr. Winchell in the past and has always been thorough. attentive, and personable. He will go the extra mile to make sure his patients receive the care they need.
We will forever be grateful for Dr Chiweshe after she operated on our newborn baby. She has been clear and concise when explaining to us the procedure and the many steps that followed. Along with being extremely patient and caring.
