¸»¶þ´ú³É°æÈËapp's infectious disease physicians are at the forefront of treatment, research, and support for those with HIV infection, AIDS, and other infectious diseases. ¸»¶þ´ú³É°æÈËapp’s Center for Special Studies, a New York State Designated AIDS Center, calls upon the expertise of our top infectious disease specialists in New York to provide a full range of health services to people with HIV and AIDS, as well as their children.

These services include:

• HIV-specialized primary care, offered by our New York City-based HIV doctors,who are leading specialists in the treatment of HIV and AIDS. Treatment also includes gynecology, dermatology, psychiatry, social work, home care planning, nutritional counseling, and chaplaincy services.
• Two ambulatory clinics, one located at NewYork-Presbyterian/¸»¶þ´ú³É°æÈËapp Medical Centers at 68th Street, which is co-located with the Pediatric Center for Special Studies, and an off-site ambulatory site in Chelsea, co-located with the Gay Men's Health Crisis.
• On-site access to current studies and trials. Currently, areas of clinical investigation include: antiretroviral therapy, immune-based therapies, viral co-infections in HIV, as well as treatment and prevention of HIV-related illnesses and their complications. Patient referrals are welcome and are appreciated.

As part of our Infectious Diseases services, we also provide travel advice and immunizations for patients (4,500 annually) traveling abroad. The physicians of our International Health Care Service also diagnose and treat post-travel infectious diseases and offer tropical medicine consultations.
